They did. I'm ruminating a new essay that I hope to write this evening. I only saw it late last year without Big Brown...I hadn't realized it had been demolished and kept looking for it. It had been a few years since I'd been and the last time I went it was still there.
There’s easily found video of the demo. I spent a lot of time on those stack platforms over the years (stack sampling aka source emissions testing) and back when “brown” was descriptive of the plume. In the 70s-80s we had to climb the ladders. I was in better shape back then. 😎
