Texas.

It’s big, it’s bold, and it gets a lot of flak about being home to cowboys, racists, and a lot of injustice. And that’s all true. We also have some amazing nature that gets taken for granted by everyone from citizens to government officials. This newsletter hopes to shine so light on the amazing places in the state as well as amazing people doing the work to protect the state’s natural resources.

I am a biologist by trade but an artist, writer, podcaster, and nature enthusiast in all of the in-between times. I typically write at Oceanic Wilderness and will be using this space for more detailed, focused notes on Texas Nature and issues regarding our natural resources here in the Lone Star State.

I also produce The Garden Path Podcast and Orange Blaze: A Florida Trail Podcast.
